What changed: BoomPop is now part of Navan

On September 9, 2026, Navan announced it had acquired BoomPop, an AI-powered events platform, and said BoomPop's team and technology would be fully integrated into Navan (Navan press release, checked Oct 2026). BoomPop's own homepage now says it "has joined" Navan (boompop.com, checked Oct 2026). So if you were evaluating BoomPop for an offsite, the comparison you're really making now is with Navan Events. How planning an offsite in Navan Events works

Navan positions Events as a way to handle "venue sourcing, invites, room blocks, budgets and approvals" in the same system that already holds your travel policy. Its events page says the BoomPop AI Event Agent sources venues and negotiates supplier discounts on line items such as food and beverage, Wi-Fi and transfers. Navan also says it pulls venue contracts, forecast and actual travel costs, and onsite expenses into one budget view (navan.com/events, checked Oct 2026).

For bigger programs, Navan describes a managed service with event leads on the ground running registration and logistics, drawing on what it calls its Reed & Mackay heritage. The page doesn't say where the line sits between self-serve and managed, and we found no published price for either, so ask your Navan rep directly.

The real advantage is integration. If finance already approves trips in Navan, attendees book flights there, and your controller wants every dollar in one report, keeping the offsite inside Navan removes a lot of friction.

How Offsiteio works
