Corporate incentive trips and President's Club travel
Done-for-you team offsites with one itemized price per person and a planner on site. Free proposal in 48 hours.
An incentive trip is a reward, not a meeting. The people on it earned their seat, usually by hitting a sales target, and the trip has to feel like it. That changes the planning brief completely: less meeting space, more hosted experiences, better rooms and a few moments that winners will still talk about when next year's contest is announced. Offsiteio plans corporate incentive trips and sales incentive trips end to end, including the classic President's Club, for one itemized price per person.
What makes a great incentive trip
- A destination people want to post about. The trip only motivates next year's effort if reps want to go. Aspiration matters more here than on any other offsite.
- Hosted generosity. Few out-of-pocket moments. Meals, experiences and transfers are taken care of.
- Recognition in the room. An awards dinner where leaders thank winners by name, with stories, not just a list.
- Free time. Winners should have afternoons to themselves, not a conference schedule.
- Plus-ones, if you allow them. Many President's Club trips invite partners, which shapes room types, activities and the budget.
Incentive trip formats
| Format | Who goes | Typical length | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| President's Club | Top sales performers, often with guests | 3 to 5 nights | The flagship reward; resort or bucket-list city |
| Sales incentive trip | Everyone who hit quota in a period | 2 to 4 nights | Larger group, slightly simpler program |
| Company-wide reward trip | Whole team after a milestone | 3 to 4 nights | Celebration after a funding round or record year |
| SKO plus reward extension | Full sales team, winners stay on | SKO plus 1 to 2 nights | Saves a round of flights; see sales kickoff planning |
A sample 4-night President's Club itinerary
- Night 1: private transfers from the airport, a welcome gift in the room and a relaxed sunset reception.
- Day 2: a free morning, then a hosted boat afternoon or a guided excursion, and a beachside dinner.
- Day 3: optional activities (spa, golf, a cooking class), a free afternoon and the awards dinner with leadership.
- Day 4: a signature experience such as a private tour or a chef's table, and an evening at leisure.
- Day 5: a late checkout and departures.
Destinations like Los Cabos (from $1,200 per person), Riviera Maya (from $1,100), Hawaii (from $1,900), Puerto Rico (from $1,500), Rhodes (from $1,578) and Dubai (from $1,850) suit this format well. Prices are destination starting prices, and flights are quoted separately. Incentive trips usually sit above the starting price because of the higher hotel tier and extra hosted experiences.

Incentive travel planning: decisions to make early
Set qualifying criteria before the year starts
Reps need to know exactly how to earn a seat. Publish the rules with the comp plan, including how ties and mid-year hires are handled.
Decide on guests
Inviting partners roughly doubles the number of travelers, changes room requirements and shifts the activity mix. Decide early, because it affects the hotel contract.
Lock the destination early enough to promote it
Announcing the destination at kickoff turns the trip into a motivator for the whole year. That means choosing and holding it months ahead.
Agree how leadership shows up
Executives on the trip should host, thank and mostly get out of the way. Keep any business content short and optional.
Plan for tax and HR questions
In the US, incentive trips are often treated as taxable compensation. Loop in finance and HR early so winners aren't surprised. We handle the trip; your advisors handle the tax treatment.

Incentive trip vs company retreat
A company retreat brings everyone together to connect and align, with a working agenda. An incentive trip rewards a selected group with mostly leisure. Some companies run both in a year. If you're planning for the whole team, see company retreats instead.

Incentive trip FAQs
What is a corporate incentive trip?
A corporate incentive trip is a company-paid reward trip for employees who hit a goal, most often top sales performers. It is mostly leisure, with hosted meals, experiences and a recognition dinner.
What is a President's Club trip?
President's Club is the name many companies give to the annual reward trip for their highest-performing salespeople. It is usually 3 to 5 nights at a resort or aspirational city, often with guests invited.
How much does a sales incentive trip cost per person?
Our destination packages start from $1,100 to $1,900 per person, and full trips we've planned have run up to $2,402 per person before flights. Incentive trips often choose higher hotel tiers.
When should we start planning a President's Club trip?
Ideally before the sales year begins, so the destination can be announced at kickoff. Resorts in peak season also need to be held well in advance.
Can winners bring a guest?
Yes, if your policy allows it. We plan room types, activities and dinners for guests and itemize their cost so you can decide with real numbers.
