TeamOut alternatives for planning a company retreat

Done-for-you team offsites with one itemized price per person and a planner on site. Free proposal in 48 hours.

A note before you read: Offsiteio publishes this page, and we list ourselves first. The other companies are described only from their own public websites, linked inline and checked in October 2026. TeamOut is a well-established option. This page is for people who want to see what else is out there.

TeamOut combines a venue and activity platform with planners and destination management (teamout.com, checked Oct 2026). Some teams want exactly that. Others want a different setup: a fully hands-off planner, a luxury agency, a strategy-first designer, or a European specialist. Here are six alternatives and who each one suits.

1. Offsiteio

That's us. We plan team offsites and company retreats end to end, so you're never left alone with a venue catalog. You share headcount, dates, goals and a few cities. Within 48 hours we send a free proposal with one upfront per-person price, with every line visible: lodging, meals, meeting space, activities, transport and coordination. The price quoted is the price you pay. Flights are quoted separately because every attendee starts somewhere different.

Our 24 destinations range from Nashville and Austin to Lisbon, Barcelona and Mexico City. Starting prices run from $1,100 per person (Riviera Maya) to $1,900 (Hawaii), and real trips we've planned have landed between $1,450 and $2,402 per person before airfare. Clients include Coinbase, Ketch, Voltage Park, Grow Therapy, Moxie and Stacklok.

Best for: the Chief of Staff, Head of People or EA who wants to hand off the offsite completely and still show finance every number.

2. Offsite (offsite.com)

Offsite offers two paths: a marketplace for searching venues and vendors, and "done for you" end-to-end planning. It says the full-service option is priced at a "flat, per-person rate" (offsite.com, checked Oct 2026). On the marketplace side, it says booking requests get detailed proposals within 48 hours. Note that Offsite and Offsiteio are separate, unrelated companies.

Best for: teams that like to compare venue offers themselves before deciding how much help they need.

3. Moniker Partners

Moniker describes itself as an award-winning corporate retreat planning agency for local and remote teams. Its homepage lists flight booking specialists and 24/7 on-site staff among its services (monikerpartners.com, checked Oct 2026). It also highlights a 570-person retreat in Quebec City as its largest to date.

Best for: large, multi-country programs where centralized flight booking is a priority.

4. Flok

Flok says it designs and runs corporate retreats for remote and distributed teams, built around each team's goals. It also offers stand-alone venue sourcing and contract negotiation, and notes its team's backgrounds at Marriott and Four Seasons (flok.com, checked Oct 2026).

Best for: distributed companies that want help shaping the retreat's purpose as much as its logistics.

5. Surf Office

Surf Office positions itself as a team offsite and company retreat agency. It works with groups from 15 people and up, at locations across the Americas, Europe and Asia (surfoffice.com, checked Oct 2026).

Best for: teams leaning toward a European offsite that want an agency with a broad location range.

6. The Offsite Co.

The Offsite Co. plans company retreats, executive retreats and team offsites, with a focus on remote teams. Its homepage outlines a 30-day venue process covering flight analysis, venue sourcing and a shortlist of three venues (theoffsiteco.com, checked Oct 2026).

Best for: remote-first companies that like a defined, step-by-step venue selection process.

How to pick between them

  1. Decide how hands-on you want to be. Browsing a platform suits some people. Others want a finished plan.
  2. Ask what the per-person price covers. Lodging-only figures and all-in trip figures look very different.
  3. Confirm who's on site. Someone needs to own problems at the hotel while you're in the room with your team.
  4. Compare like for like. Request proposals for the same dates, headcount and hotel tier.

Compare with a real proposal

If Offsiteio is on your shortlist, the easiest test is to see our plan. Request a free itemized proposal, delivered within 48 hours, and compare it with your other quotes.

TeamOut alternatives FAQs

What is a good alternative to TeamOut?

It depends on what you want to change. If you'd rather hand off planning entirely and get one itemized per-person price, Offsiteio is built for that. If you want a marketplace, Offsite is closer. If you need a large agency that books flights, look at Moniker Partners.

Are there TeamOut alternatives that publish prices?

Offsiteio publishes "from" prices for each destination, starting at $1,100 per person excluding flights. The other planners on this page didn't show a price list on their homepages when we checked in October 2026.

Which TeamOut alternative is best for remote teams?

Flok and The Offsite Co. both emphasize remote and distributed teams on their websites. Offsiteio also plans offsites for distributed companies and quotes each attendee's flights separately.

Is Offsiteio the same company as Offsite?

No. Offsiteio (offsiteio.com) and Offsite (offsite.com) are separate, unrelated companies.

How should I compare retreat planners?

Ask each for an itemized proposal for the same dates and group, check what's excluded, and confirm who will be on site during the event.
