Offsiteio vs Water Cooler Trivia
Done-for-you team offsites with one itemized price per person and a planner on site. Free proposal in 48 hours.
Offsiteio wrote this, and we're one of the two products here. Everything about Water Cooler Trivia comes from its own site, linked in the text and checked in October 2026. If its pricing or features have since changed, let us know.
These two barely overlap, which is the useful thing to know. Water Cooler Trivia is a subscription that sends your team a weekly trivia quiz by email, Slack or Microsoft Teams, at about $1 per user per month. Offsiteio plans in-person offsites lasting several days, with lodging, meals, meeting space, activities and our team on site. One keeps a remote team chatting every week; the other gets everyone in the same place once or twice a year. Lots of teams would benefit from both.
How they differ
About Water Cooler Trivia
Water Cooler Trivia's idea is simple: a short quiz written by trivia professionals lands in your team's channel each week, people answer on their own time, and results are shared to start conversation (watercoolertrivia.com, checked Oct 2026). It reports more than 1,200 groups playing every week and a 4.98 out of 5 rating on Google.
The pricing page is fully public. Plans step up with team size: $10 a month for up to 10 participants, $25 for 11–25, $50 for 26–50, $100 for 51–100, and $250 for 101–250, with an enterprise plan beyond that. Annual billing saves 25 percent, nonprofits and schools get 50 percent off, and you only pay for active participants (watercoolertrivia.com/pricing, checked Oct 2026).
For keeping a remote team connected at almost no cost or effort, it's hard to argue with.
About Offsiteio
A weekly quiz can't replace a dinner together or a whiteboard session in the same room. That's where we come in. Share your headcount, dates, goals and a few possible locations; within 48 hours we send a free proposal with two or three destinations and one per-person price, itemized across hotel, meals, meeting space, activities, transfers and coordination.
After you approve, we book it all and travel with you; a planner from our team is on site for the whole trip. Trips typically start around $1,450 per person, real ones have run roughly $1,450 to $2,402 per person, and flights are quoted separately. We plan drive-to retreats as well as US and international destination trips.
Trivia even works on the trip itself: a team quiz night is a classic offsite evening. Our retreat activities guide has more.
Which one do you need?
Water Cooler Trivia, if…
- You want something every week that takes minutes, not hours
- Your budget is measured in dollars per person per month
- Your team lives in Slack or Teams and is spread out
- You'd rather not schedule another meeting
Offsiteio, if…
- Your team needs to meet in person to plan, align or reset
- You want hotels, meeting rooms, meals and activities handled
- You need a full per-person budget, itemized, for approval
- You want someone on site so you can focus on the people
Doing both is common for remote companies: a weekly quiz for connection, a yearly offsite for depth. If the offsite is your current project, ask for a free proposal.

Offsiteio vs Water Cooler Trivia FAQs
How much does Water Cooler Trivia cost?

No, and it doesn't claim to be. It's a weekly async ritual; an offsite is multiple days of in-person time.
Can Offsiteio add a trivia night to our retreat?
Yes. Activities, including a hosted quiz night, are an itemized line in our per-person price.
Which is better for a fully remote company?
Ideally both: something light every week and an in-person gathering once or twice a year.
