Offsiteio vs Let's Roam

Done-for-you team offsites with one itemized price per person and a planner on site. Free proposal in 48 hours.

Offsiteio wrote this page, so read it knowing we're one side of the comparison. Every Let's Roam detail below comes from Let's Roam's own website, linked inline and checked in October 2026. If any of it has changed, let us know and we'll update it.

Short answer: Let's Roam sells team activities, mostly app-guided scavenger hunts and hosted virtual games that run about an hour. Offsiteio plans entire multi-day offsites, with lodging, meals, meeting space, activities and transfers in one itemized per-person price. They aren't really substitutes. If you need something fun for next Thursday afternoon, Let's Roam is the more natural fit. If you need to take the team away for three days, that's what we do, and a scavenger hunt can be one piece of it.

What Let's Roam does well

Let's Roam built its business on app-led scavenger hunts that groups can play in a city on their own schedule. For companies, its team building page lists outdoor hunts, on-site hunts that run inside your office or venue, bar crawl hunts, and a long menu of virtual options: office games, escape rooms, murder mysteries, Coworker Feud and improv (letsroam.com/team-building, checked Oct 2026). It says more than 14,000 teams use it and that it covers more than 450 cities.

The pricing is refreshingly visible for this category. Its pricing page shows starting points of $35 per person for in-person hunts and $23 to $35 per person for virtual formats, while noting that the final number depends on event size, type, customization and organization type (letsroam.com/team-building/pricing, checked Oct 2026).

If your brief is "one hour, something the whole team can do, not too expensive," that is a strong fit and you probably don't need a planner at all.

What Offsiteio does

We start where an activity vendor stops. You tell us the headcount, rough dates, goals and a few places you'd consider. Within 48 hours we send a free proposal with two or three destination options and one per-person price, with each line visible: hotel, meeting space, meals, activities, local transfers and coordination. No commitment to ask.

Once you sign, our team scouts and books everything, builds the agenda with you, and travels with the group. Someone from Offsiteio is on site for the entire trip. Trips typically start around $1,450 per person, and real trips have landed between about $1,450 and $2,402 per person. Flights are quoted separately since your team flies in from different places.

Activities are part of the plan, not the whole plan. We often book a hosted game, a cooking class or a guided outing for one afternoon of a three-day retreat. Our guide to team building activities for work retreats shows how we slot them in.

Which should you choose?

Let's Roam is the better pick if…

  • You want a single activity of about an hour, not a trip
  • Your team is fully remote and you need a virtual game this month
  • Budget is tight and $23 to $35 per person is the range you're working with
  • You're happy to run logistics (time, place, invites) yourself

Offsiteio is the better pick if…

  • You're planning two or more days away with lodging and meeting time
  • You want a single owner for venue, food, transport and the agenda
  • Finance needs one itemized per-person number before you commit
  • You'd like someone handling problems on site while you focus on the team

Plenty of teams use both: a Let's Roam virtual game between quarters, and an Offsiteio retreat once or twice a year. If you're weighing a bigger trip, ask for a free proposal and we'll show you what a full offsite costs per head.

Running an activity without a vendor

If you only need something light, you might not need anyone. Our virtual team building games guide lists formats you can host yourself, and free tools like the random team generator and icebreaker generator take care of the setup. For in-person ideas by city, see team building in New York City, Austin or Chicago.

Thinking bigger than an afternoon?

When the goal is strategy, alignment and real time together, a short activity rarely does the job alone. Send us your dates and headcount and we'll return two or three destination options with one per-person price within 48 hours.

Offsiteio vs Let's Roam FAQs

Is Let's Roam an offsite planner?

Not in the multi-day sense. Let's Roam runs activities such as scavenger hunts, bar crawl hunts and virtual games, most listed at about one hour. It doesn't present itself as booking hotels or meeting space for a retreat (checked Oct 2026).

How much does Let's Roam cost for a team?

Its pricing page lists starting prices of $35 per person for in-person scavenger hunts and $23 to $35 per person for virtual formats, with final pricing depending on size and customization (checked Oct 2026).

Can Offsiteio include a scavenger hunt in our offsite?

Yes. Activities are one of the lines in our per-person price, and a hosted hunt or city game is a common afternoon slot on a multi-day trip.

Why is an Offsiteio trip so much more per person?

Because it covers different things. Our price includes lodging, meals, meeting space, activities, transfers and on-site staff for several days; an activity price covers the activity. Flights are quoted separately on top.

Which is better for a remote team?

For a recurring online ritual, a virtual game provider fits. For getting a distributed team in one room, an in-person offsite does more. See our remote team offsites page.
