The best offsite planning software in 2026
Done-for-you team offsites with one itemized price per person and a planner on site. Free proposal in 48 hours.
Offsiteio is a planning service, not software, and we wrote this comparison. We've still listed ourselves first for one type of buyer, explained below. Everything about the eight software tools comes from their own sites, checked October 2026.
Offsite software is great when you have the time to run the process. If you don't, it can turn into a second job. That's the case for listing Offsiteio first: a planning team that hands you a finished plan and one itemized per-person price, with no tool to learn.
If you do want software, Nowadays and Retreat are built for lean teams, BoomPop (now part of Navan) adds guest management, TeamOut wraps a venue catalog in a dashboard, and Cvent is the enterprise standard for event management.
Offsite planning tools compared
How we evaluated the tools
- Scope: venue sourcing, attendee management, travel, budgets, or all of it.
- Pricing transparency: whether a plan or fee is visible without a demo.
- Human help: whether planners or specialists are available when the software runs out.
- Sources: vendor sites only, checked in October 2026.
1. Offsiteio
We're the alternative to software. Tell us headcount, dates and goals and our team scouts destinations, books hotels, meeting space, meals, activities and transfers, then stays on site through the trip. A free proposal with 2–3 options and one per-person price arrives within 48 hours. See what a proposal looks like.
Best for: a busy EA or People lead who would rather approve a plan than build one.
Pricing: one upfront itemized price per person; flights quoted separately.
2. Nowadays
Nowadays uses AI to search venues, send RFPs, compare proposals side by side, and track registration and payments. It also offers a flight and budget estimator (Nowadays pricing, checked Oct 2026).
Best for: lean teams that want automation for the sourcing grind.
Pricing: published tiers.
3. Retreat (planretreat.com)
Retreat combines itinerary building, guest invites and a mobile app with optional paid services. It funds core planning through hotel commissions and prices add-ons openly (Retreat pricing, checked Oct 2026).
Best for: remote teams wanting free software and the option to buy help by the piece.
Pricing: published add-on prices.
4. BoomPop (part of Navan)

Best for: teams that want an app plus a person, at a known fee.
Pricing: published.
9. Bizly
Bizly offers venue search and in-person event planning software, and it announced the acquisition of Kapow for group dining (Bizly about page, checked Oct 2026).
Best for: companies booking frequent meetings and team dinners rather than multi-night trips.
Pricing: not published for planners.
Software or service: a quick test
- If someone on your team can spend 30+ hours on it, software can save money.
- If the offsite is one of many jobs for the organizer, a service is usually cheaper in real terms.
- If you need on-site help, check whether the software vendor offers it and at what price.
