Outback Team Building alternatives
Done-for-you team offsites with one itemized price per person and a planner on site. Free proposal in 48 hours.
Disclosure: we're Offsiteio, we wrote this list, and we've put ourselves on it. For everyone else we relied on their own public websites, cited inline and reviewed in October 2026. Corrections are welcome.
Outback Team Building & Training offers hosted activities, self-hosted kits and leadership training in more than 80 US cities and across Canada, and asks you to book a consultation for pricing (outbackteambuilding.com, checked Oct 2026). If you're looking elsewhere, it's usually because you want visible prices, a different style of activity, or a full offsite rather than a single event. Here are six options sorted by what they're good at.
Six alternatives at a glance
1. Offsiteio
If the reason you're browsing is that the team needs real time away, not another afternoon session, we plan the entire trip. That means destination scouting, hotel, meeting space, meals, activities and transfers, plus one of our team on site the whole time. You'll get a free proposal within 48 hours showing two or three destinations and one per-person price with every line visible.
Trips typically start around $1,450 per person, and real ones have run about $1,450 to $2,402 per person; flights are quoted separately. We can still book a facilitated activity or workshop as part of the agenda. Start a free proposal whenever you have rough dates.
Best for: leaders planning a strategy retreat, team offsite or company trip who want one owner and one number.
2. The Go Game
Founded in 2001, The Go Game produces scavenger hunts, game shows, lawn games and charity builds, and says it has run more than 10,000 events (thegogame.com, checked Oct 2026). Unlike Outback, it shows numbers: most in-person events run $39 to $99 per player, and per-player price falls as groups grow (cost page, checked Oct 2026).
Best for: sales kickoffs and big all-hands where a hosted show suits the crowd.
3. Let's Roam
Let's Roam runs app-guided scavenger hunts in more than 450 cities and a broad virtual catalog, with most activities around an hour (letsroam.com/team-building, checked Oct 2026). Its pricing page lists in-person hunts from $35 per person and virtual formats from $23 (pricing page, checked Oct 2026).
Best for: teams that want something simple and affordable, scheduled fast.
4. Museum Hack
Museum Hack leads story-driven tours of big museums for corporate groups in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Boston, and says it runs more than 450 corporate activities a year (museumhack.com/team-building, checked Oct 2026).
Best for: a memorable, less sporty outing for teams gathered in one of its cities.
5. Confetti
Confetti's catalog covers celebrations, wellness, onboarding and learning events in virtual, hybrid and in-person formats, and it reports over 52,000 events for 11,000 companies (withconfetti.com, checked Oct 2026). Plans run from pay-as-you-go to a Pre-Fund plan starting at $5,000 a year (pricing, checked Oct 2026).
Best for: People teams that want one platform for a year of events.
6. Water Cooler Trivia
A different kind of alternative: a weekly quiz sent through Slack, Teams or email, at $1 per user per month with a free four-week trial (watercoolertrivia.com/pricing, checked Oct 2026).
Best for: keeping a remote team talking between in-person events.
How to choose
- Measure the time you have. Under a day points to an activity vendor; overnight points to an offsite planner.
- Decide if you need training. If skills development matters, Outback's training programs are hard to replicate with a game company.
- Ask for the all-in number. Per-player prices and per-person trip prices cover very different things.
- Check where they operate. Museum Hack, for instance, works in eight cities.
Need ideas before you call anyone? Our guide to team building activities for work retreats and city pages for Houston, Atlanta and Los Angeles cover local options, and our virtual games guide covers remote ones.

Outback Team Building alternatives FAQs
Which Outback alternatives publish their prices?
The Go Game, Let's Roam and Water Cooler Trivia all show prices on their sites, and Confetti lists its plan structure. Offsiteio gives an itemized per-person price in every proposal (checked Oct 2026).
Is there an alternative that also does leadership training?
Among the companies here, Outback is the one that emphasizes training programs. Museum Hack offers a remote storytelling workshop. For a leadership retreat, Offsiteio can book facilitators into the agenda.
What's the difference between a team building company and an offsite planner?
A team building company runs an activity, usually a few hours. An offsite planner organizes the whole trip: lodging, meeting space, food, transport and the activities inside it.
Does Offsiteio work outside the US?
Yes. We plan drive-to retreats and destination trips in the US and internationally, with flights quoted separately.
