Corporate retreat locations in Vietnam
Done-for-you team offsites with one itemized price per person and 24/7 remote support. Free proposal in days.
Vietnam has become one of Asia's best-value places for a company retreat. In a single trip a team can eat its way through Hanoi's Old Quarter, cruise among the limestone islands of Ha Long Bay, cycle through Hoi An's lantern-lit streets and finish on a beach resort. Hotels range from French-colonial classics to large modern resorts. It suits teams of 15 to 500, especially those with colleagues already in Asia.
Below are seven places to hold a corporate retreat in Vietnam, each with who it suits, the venue style and when to go. Weather differs a lot from north to south, so check the season line for each. Travel times are rough estimates.

Best time for a corporate retreat in Vietnam
There is no single best month for the whole country. The north, including Hanoi and Ha Long Bay, is most comfortable from October to April, with cool, sometimes gray winters. The central coast around Da Nang and Hoi An is best from February to August and gets heavy rain and typhoon risk in the fall. The south and Phu Quoc are driest from roughly November or December to April. Avoid Tết, the Lunar New Year in late January or February, when many businesses close and domestic travel is fully booked for days.
Choosing a Vietnamese location by goal
For a large kickoff, Da Nang or Phu Quoc resorts offer ballrooms and beach time in one place. For culture and team connection, Hanoi with a night on Ha Long Bay is hard to beat. For business meetings with partners in the region, Ho Chi Minh City is the commercial center. Sapa suits small groups with an appetite for walking. Domestic flights are short and frequent, so two-base trips are easy to arrange.
Budget and planning notes
Vietnam gives some of the best value in Asia for food, activities and ground transport, and even top beach resorts often cost less than comparable places in Thailand or Bali. Peak rates hit around Christmas, New Year and Tết, and beach resorts fill during summer school holidays for domestic travelers. Overnight cruise cabins are limited, so book bay charters early for larger groups. Offsiteio trips start from about $999 per person depending on destination, with flights quoted separately. Nearby alternatives
- Thailand: more island resorts and Bangkok's large hotel supply.
- Japan: cities, onsen towns and ski resorts with nonstop US flights.
- Indonesia: Bali's villa culture and Komodo boat trips.
- Hawaii: tropical resorts that are much closer for US teams.
Vietnam corporate retreat FAQs
Which part of Vietnam is best for a company retreat?
Da Nang and Hoi An for most teams, because they combine beach resorts, meeting space and an old town for evenings. Hanoi with Ha Long Bay is the stronger pick for a culture-led trip.
How do US teams fly to Vietnam?
Limited nonstop service exists from the US West Coast to Ho Chi Minh City, and most people connect once through an Asian hub. Plan a full travel day and a light first afternoon.
When should we avoid traveling to Vietnam for an offsite?
Avoid Tết, the Lunar New Year, and avoid the central coast from roughly September to December, when heavy rain and typhoons are most likely.
How many days does a Vietnam offsite need?
Five nights is a good minimum because of the long flights. That allows one city and one beach or bay stop without rushing.
