Corporate retreat in Park City: venues, activities and a 3-day plan
Done-for-you team offsites with one itemized price per person and 24/7 remote support. Free proposal in days.
Park City is one of the easiest mountain retreats in the US to pull off. It suits company offsites, sales kickoffs and leadership retreats of almost any size, from a ten-person exec team at a slopeside lodge to a few hundred people across a resort campus.
The case in one line: a major international airport about 40 minutes away, two big ski areas, and a historic Main Street for dinners, so you trade very little travel time for a real mountain setting.
Why Park City works for a team offsite
- Short transfer. Salt Lake City International is a Delta hub with nonstops from most large US cities, and Park City is roughly 35 to 45 minutes away by road on I-80. Few ski towns are this close to a big airport.
- Strong luxury venue mix. Deer Valley has several high-end lodges with ballrooms, and Canyons Village adds newer resort hotels at the base of the gondola.
- Room to work. Most of the large hotels have dedicated event teams, AV support and boardrooms, so working sessions run smoothly.
- Easy nights out. Historic Main Street has a dense stretch of restaurants, bars and a well-known distillery saloon, and a free town bus serves much of the area.
- Caveats. Town sits around 7,000 feet, and peak winter weeks are expensive and crowded. Deer Valley is ski-only, so snowboarders in your group will need to use Park City Mountain.
Best time for a corporate retreat in Park City
Ski season runs from about late November to mid-April, with holidays, Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, Presidents' Day and March the priciest. January was long dominated by the Sundance Film Festival, which is moving to Boulder from 2027, so late January should become easier to book. Summer, from mid-June through September, is a strong and often cheaper choice: dry, warm days, cool nights and lift-served hiking and biking. Early fall is excellent for color. April, May and November are quiet shoulder months with limited activities.

Budget and planning notes
Park City's luxury lodges command high winter rates, especially in holiday and Presidents' Day weeks, and many enforce minimum stays and food-and-beverage minimums. Summer and early December offer much better pricing at the same properties. The short airport run keeps transfer costs low, and the free town bus cuts local transport. Offsiteio trips start from about $999 per person depending on destination, with flights quoted separately. Park City corporate retreat FAQs
How far is Park City from Salt Lake City airport?
Roughly 35 to 45 minutes by car in normal conditions. Snowstorms on I-80 through Parleys Canyon can add time in winter.
Deer Valley or Canyons Village for a company retreat?
Deer Valley has the most established luxury lodges and is close to Main Street. Canyons Village has newer hotels at the gondola base and is a short drive from town.
Is Park City good for large groups?
Yes. Resorts such as Montage Deer Valley and Stein Eriksen Lodge run large meetings, and the nearby airport makes moving a big group simple.
Is summer a good time for a Park City offsite?
Very much so. Summer brings dry, mild weather, hiking and biking, and lower rates at the same resorts that are hardest to book in winter.
