Jordan lines up some of the region's most famous sights along a single highway. A team can float in the Dead Sea, walk into Petra through the Siq and sleep in a desert camp in Wadi Rum within a few days, then finish on the Red Sea in Aqaba. It suits groups of 10 to 150 who want a road-trip style offsite with real wonder in it and a warm, English-friendly hospitality culture.
Below are seven places for a corporate retreat in Jordan, with who each suits, the kind of lodging available, the best months and the approximate drive. Most programs run south from Amman and fly home from Amman or Aqaba.
Where to hold a corporate retreat in Jordan
Amman
Best for: the arrival and working chapter, with Roman ruins on the Citadel, the downtown food scene and the cafés of Rainbow Street. Group size: 20 to 300. Venue type: international hotels with ballrooms in the western districts, plus boutique hotels in older neighborhoods. Season: March to May and September to November. Getting there: about 30 to 45 minutes by road from Queen Alia International Airport. Our Amman and Dead Sea guide goes deeper.
The Dead Sea
Best for: a spa-heavy reset with salt-water floats, mud wraps and sunset over the hills on the far shore. Group size: 20 to 300. Venue type: large resort hotels on the northeastern shore, most with spas and conference rooms. Season: October to April; summer is very hot. Getting there: about 45 minutes to 1 hour by road from Amman or the airport.
Petra and Wadi Musa
Best for: the signature day of the trip: the Siq, the Treasury, the Monastery climb and Petra by Night when it runs. Group size: 10 to 150. Venue type: hotels in Wadi Musa, some steps from the site entrance, and quieter lodges on the hills above town. Season: March to May and October to November. Getting there: about 3 hours by road from Amman via the Desert Highway.
Wadi Rum
Best for: a night that people talk about for years: jeep tours through red canyons, Bedouin dinners cooked underground and stars without light pollution. Group size: 8 to 100, often split across tents. Venue type: desert camps, from simple Bedouin tents to bubble domes with private bathrooms. Season: October to April; winter nights drop close to freezing. Getting there: roughly 1.5 to 2 hours by road from Petra.
Aqaba
Best for: closing the trip on the Red Sea with snorkeling, boat days and a relaxed last dinner. Group size: 20 to 250. Venue type: beach resorts along the south coast and the Ayla and Tala Bay resort areas. Season: October to May. Getting there: about 1 hour by road from Wadi Rum; King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba has some international flights.
Madaba and Mount Nebo
Best for: a calm half-day of mosaics, church history and a hilltop view over the Jordan Valley, on the way to the Dead Sea or the King's Highway. Group size: 10 to 120. Venue type: small hotels and guesthouses; most groups visit from Amman or the Dead Sea. Season: spring and fall. Getting there: about 30 to 45 minutes by road from Amman.
The Dana Biosphere Reserve
Best for: small leadership retreats that want long hikes, a stone village and deliberate quiet. Group size: 6 to 30. Venue type: eco-lodges and guesthouses inside or on the edge of the reserve, some lit only by candles at night. Season: March to May and September to November. Getting there: about 2.5 to 3 hours by road from Amman, or roughly 1 hour from Petra.

Best time for a corporate retreat in Jordan
March to May and late September to November are the sweet spots: warm days for Petra's long walks and pleasant evenings in the desert. Summer is draining at Petra and extremely hot at the Dead Sea and Aqaba, though Amman stays more bearable thanks to its altitude. Winter can bring rain, cold nights and occasional snow in Amman and Petra, while Aqaba stays mild. Check Ramadan dates, since the holy month moves earlier each year and changes daytime routines.
Choosing a Jordanian location by goal
For a culture-and-bonding trip, the classic loop of Amman, Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea over five or six nights covers the highlights without feeling rushed. Leadership teams looking for quiet should swap a night of the loop for Dana or a smaller Wadi Rum camp. If the group is large and the priority is plenary time, base at the Dead Sea and make Petra a long day trip or an overnight extension. Aqaba makes sense as a soft landing when you want the last day to be pure rest.
Royal Jordanian and partner airlines connect Amman with several US cities, and many travelers route through Europe or the Gulf. Check current entry rules for your travelers, including visa options and combined site passes, and check current government travel advice before you commit.
Budget and planning notes
Petra entry, desert jeep tours, private coaches for the long drives and the comfort level of the Wadi Rum camp are the biggest variables in a Jordan budget. Dead Sea resorts and Amman's top hotels price at international levels; Wadi Musa and the desert camps can be more modest. Spring and fall fill fastest, especially around Easter. Offsiteio trips start from about $999 per person depending on destination, with flights quoted separately. Jordan corporate retreat FAQs
How many days does a Jordan offsite need?
Five or six nights is the comfortable minimum for Amman, Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea. With fewer nights, pick two regions and keep the drives short.
Can a big team stay together in Wadi Rum?
Some camps can take large groups, but comfort and privacy drop as numbers rise. Groups above about 100 often split across two neighboring camps and meet for dinner.
How fit does a team need to be for Petra?
The main trail to the Treasury and the city center is long but mostly flat. The Monastery climb has hundreds of steps, so offer it as an option with an easier alternative.
Is the Dead Sea a good base for meetings?
Yes. The resorts on the Jordanian shore have conference rooms and spas, and they sit within about an hour of Amman's airport.
