Corporate retreat in Courchevel: venues, activities and a 3-day plan

Done-for-you team offsites with one itemized price per person and 24/7 remote support. Free proposal in days.

Courchevel is the most exclusive corner of the Three Valleys, the world's largest linked ski area, with a string of villages from Le Praz up to Courchevel 1850. It suits small, high-touch groups: executive teams, board retreats, top-performer incentives and client hospitality trips of 8 to 40 people who want luxury hotels and ski-in, ski-out convenience.

The one-line case: unmatched skiing from the hotel door, with service levels to match. The trade-off is price and a winter-only calendar. For a broader view of the region and less expensive bases, see our French Alps guide.

Why Courchevel works for a team offsite

  • Getting there. Lyon and Geneva are the usual airports, each roughly two and a half to three hours away by road; Chambéry, when it runs winter flights, is closer at about 90 minutes. In season, trains reach Moûtiers, about 40 minutes below the resort. Courchevel also has a small altiport for private flights and helicopter transfers.
  • Six villages, different moods. Courchevel 1850 is the luxury center, 1650 (Moriond) and 1550 are calmer and better value, and Le Praz and La Tania are wooded and quiet.
  • Ski access everywhere. Most hotels sit on or near the slopes, so a group can ski straight from a morning session to lunch on the mountain.
  • Evenings sorted. 1850 has a dense mix of top restaurants and bars, and private chefs can serve a team dinner in a chalet.
  • The caveats. Hotels are small and many open only from December to April. Prices in 1850 are among the highest in the Alps, and dedicated meeting rooms are rare, so plan sessions in suites, lounges or a nearby resort.

Best time for a corporate retreat in Courchevel

The ski season usually runs from mid-December to mid-April. January, after the holidays, and March offer the best mix of snow, light and availability. Christmas, New Year and the February French school holidays are the busiest and most expensive weeks. Courchevel opens again in July and August for hiking, mountain biking and lake days, but only part of the hotel and restaurant scene reopens. From late April to June and from September to early December, the resort is largely closed.

Corporate retreat venues in Courchevel

Hôtel Annapurna (Courchevel 1850)

A five-star ski-in, ski-out hotel high above 1850 with wide valley views, a spa and an events program. It suits executive and incentive groups who want a full-service base right on the slopes.

Aman Le Mélézin (Courchevel 1850)

A small luxury hotel on the Bellecôte piste, with direct ski access and an Aman spa, which offers celebrations and events. It fits board retreats and very small leadership teams that value privacy above all.

Le Coucou Méribel (nearby, Méribel)

A five-star hotel in the neighboring resort of Méribel, about 45 minutes by road but linked to Courchevel by ski lifts, with rooms, chalets and an events offer. It is a lively, design-led alternative for groups who want the Three Valleys without 1850 prices.

Le Kaïla (nearby, Méribel)

Another five-star hotel in Méribel's center, with a spa, restaurants and dedicated event bookings. Choose it for a ski incentive that wants Courchevel on the lift map and a more relaxed village around it.

Budget and planning notes

Courchevel is one of the most expensive ski destinations in Europe, especially in 1850 during holiday weeks, when minimum stays are common. Staying in 1650 or Méribel, choosing January or March, and travelling midweek all bring costs down. Lift passes, instruction and long airport transfers are significant extras, and helicopter transfers are a premium add-on. Offsiteio trips start from about $999 per person depending on destination, with flights quoted separately. Share your dates and group profile and we will come back with a free itemized proposal in days, with one upfront price per person, 24/7 remote support and an optional on-site coordinator.
