Buenos Aires is one of the cities we know best. We've run several offsites there, and our own brand video was shot at one. It's ideal for companies with engineers in Latin America and leaders in the US, and for any team that wants a trip people will still talk about a year later. Late dinners, great steak, tango and leafy neighborhoods make it feel nothing like a business trip.
Why Buenos Aires for a company offsite
Many US tech companies now have engineering teams in Argentina. An offsite in Buenos Aires flips the usual dynamic: the US contingent travels, and the local team gets to host. That's a strong signal of respect, and it usually costs less than flying everyone north.
Value is the second reason. At a starting price of $1,200 per person, Buenos Aires is one of our most affordable destinations. The budget stretches to boutique hotels, long tasting dinners and private experiences that would cost far more in New York or Europe.
And the city itself is a pleasure. Palermo's tree-lined streets, cafes and design shops make a walkable base. Evenings run late in the best way, and dinner at 9:30 is normal.
When to go to Buenos Aires
Remember that the seasons are reversed. Spring (October to early December) and autumn (March to May) are the most comfortable, with warm days and cool nights. January and February are hot and many locals leave on holiday. June to August is winter, which is mild compared with the US Northeast but grey. The time difference is small: Buenos Aires is 1 to 2 hours ahead of US Eastern time, depending on the season.

Where teams stay in Buenos Aires
The sample package uses Palo Santo Hotel in Palermo, an eco-friendly boutique hotel with balconies, a vertical garden and a rooftop pool. It puts the group in the middle of Palermo's restaurants and nightlife. For sessions, we pair it with AreaTres El Salvador, a coworking space a short walk away.
Bigger groups can choose a larger hotel in Recoleta or Puerto Madero with meeting space on site.
Team activities in Buenos Aires
- Tango show at Café de los Angelitos: a polished evening of music and dance in a classic setting. Add a beginner's lesson if your team is brave.
- MALBA: modern and contemporary Latin American art, including works by Frida Kahlo.
- La Boca and Caminito: colorful streets, street tango and football culture near La Bombonera stadium.
- Parrilla dinner: Argentine beef and Malbec, served at a pace that invites long conversations.
What a Buenos Aires offsite costs
Buenos Aires starts from $1,200 per person, with flights quoted separately. Because local costs are moderate, the main variable is airfare, which we price as its own line for each attendee. See how a per-person figure comes together on our pricing page.

- West Coast: typically one connection, around 14 to 17 hours in total
Team members already in Latin America often have short regional flights from São Paulo, Santiago, Montevideo or Bogotá.
